William Hill Online bets on Unica for web analytics

UK— Bookie and gaming firm William Hill Online has signed up to use Unica’s web analytics services in a bid to improve customer experience and enable faster business decision-making.

CEO Henry Birch (pictured) said: “Our industry requires an online analytics solution that is both flexible to deploy, and with an agile user interface, able to understand and cope with our rapidly developing websites.

“As the sites continue develop, Unica will help us to gain valuable insight with the ‘slice and dice’ approach, rather than be limited to pre-defined reports. It provides us with the granular level analysis into individual customer journeys throughout the website.”

Unica agreed to be acquired by IBM last month in a $480m deal. The takeover is set to be completed in the fourth quarter.
