Repucom and Ibope partner for Latin American sports research

US— Repucom is partnering with Ibope Media to launch a sports marketing research service in Latin America, excluding Brazil.

The two companies have established a venture in Buenos Aires, trading as Ibope/Repucom Sports. Services will be offered first in Argentina before being rolled out across the region over the course of 2012.

While Repucom specialises in sports marketing research and analysis, Ibope Media is a media research joint venture between Groupo Ibope and Kantar Media.

Repucom CEO Paul Smith said: “We have followed the growth of the sports sector in Latin America and have considered various means of entry; however, an appropriate partner was key to a successful rollout of services.”
