Rentrak tracks Russian box office sales

US— Media measurement firm Rentrak has launched its Box Office Essentials service in Russia, providing studios with data on ticket sales from 800 cinemas in the country.
The firm is providing data and analytics to Walt Disney, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal, Warner Bros and Russian distributor Central Partnership.
Subscribers receive hourly data via a web-based system, as well as top line industry performance analytics.
Russia joins North America, Brazil, Hong Kong and India on the list of markets where Rentrak’s box office data service is available.
