Phoenix Strategic Partnerships scoops Canadian passport project

CANADA— The Canadian government has contracted research agency Phoenix Strategic Perspectives to gauge public reaction to new electronic passport security features.

The firm will carry out 12 focus groups with randomly selected participants across six cities during early October. These will be accompanied by phone interviews throughout the month.

Passport Canada, the government department responsible for implementing the new passports, wants to gauge public opinion on changes to country’s passport system, which will see a new ePassport introduced in 2011.
