Ipsos Public Affairs to research dialysis patients for NRAA

New business North America

US — Ipsos Public Affairs has won a place on the roster for the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) In-Center Hemodialysis (ICH) as a preferred vendor. The appointment was made by the National Renal Administrators Association.

The company will be one of five preferred vendors to run surveys for the ICH, which assessess the experiences of patients at hemodialysis centres. The agency says it was appointed for its “statistical analysis expertise as well as rigorous data collection and sampling methods in healthcare research”.

As a preferred vendor, Ipsos will provide project management staff to assist with all CAHPS ICH data processing and reporting conducted in-house. All staff will be bound by patient confidentiality agreements in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

The CAHPS programme, a multi-year initiative of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), will use a variety of surveys.
