IFF awarded gender pay gap survey contract

New business UK

UK— The Equality and Human Rights Commission has commissioned IFF Research to conduct a survey into gender pay gaps.

IFF will carry out telephone interviews with HR directors and senior managers at 900 large private and voluntary organisations to provide baseline measures for the recording and publishing of pay information by gender.

The research, which kicks off this month, forms part of the commission’s programme to support a government initiative aimed at getting employers to voluntarily measure and report on their own gender pay gaps.

Jan Shury (pictured), joint managing director at IFF Research, said: “Understanding how different employers approach equal pay is an important step to encouraging more employers to adopt equal pay audits and to reduce the significant difference between what men and women earn. We’re thrilled to be delivering a study which represents such an important step towards delivering equal pay in the workplace.”

IFF has worked with the commission since 2004 running surveys into equal pay reviews.
