NatCen continues winning streak with gambling study
UK-- The National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) has again won the contract to carry out the British Gambling Prevalence Survey.
NatCen carried out the last survey in 2007 and beat off competition from four other firms to scoop the new contract from the Gambling Commission.
The survey measures the frequency of participation in all forms of private and commercial gambling and estimates the prevalence of problem gambling.
NatCen will question around 9,000 people in a series of face-to-face interviews for the main study, before embarking on a secondary project examining non-response to the survey.
