MySpace strikes video measurement deal

Visible Measures chosen as social network's official data provider

US-- MySpace has appointed video metrics house Visible Measures as its official provider of digital video measurement.

Visible Measures will track audience behaviour data on each of the several hundred million video streams that appear within the MySpace community. The data will help to provide the social network's advertising clients and content providers with analysis on campaign performance and content effectiveness.

Jason Kirk, vice president of video and entertainment at MySpace said: “Video is essential to the MySpace experience and it is critical to know how our audience is consuming our video content. With Visible Measures, we can better help our brand advertiser clients and content partners understand and improve the ROI of video content and video advertising on our site.”

In a bid to promote digital video as an advertising platform, Visible Measures and MySpace have also agreed to collaborate on co-marketing, promotional and business development activities.
