News in brief

US-- Magazine researcher MRI Starch is to triple the number of magazine issues it measures this year as it builds up a syndicated ad measurement database.

Last year, the firm measured ad readership in 214 issues across 79 titles. In 2009, it will up this to 646 issues across 113 titles.

“Our mission is to develop the granular ROI magazine metrics marketers are demanding,” said Mickey Galin, senior vice president of MRI Starch.
