Millward Brown axes top UK and Ireland post

Warwick Nash leaves agency as role is scrapped in restructure of European region

UK-- Warwick Nash has left Millward Brown after the firm axed the role of chief executive for the UK and Ireland, Research has learned.

A spokesman for the research agency said the position was made redundant in line with plans to merge its mainland Europe and UK operations.

The company says it will not be looking to appoint a CEO for the combined region. “Instead Millward Brown will establish a European Executive Committee drawn from representatives from across the region,” the spokesman said.

Andrea Bielli, Millward Brown's current CEO for Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa, is expected to move to a new role within the Kantar Group – Millward Brown's parent company.

Further details on the merger were not available at this time.

Nash left the company on 1 March. He had been with Millward Brown since March 2005 and before that spent seven years with drinks company Diageo as a business unit director.

Tim Wragg continues to lead Millward Brown's UK business as managing director, while Eamonn Williams is chairman of Millward Brown Ireland.
