Marketing optimism remains high in Americas, says Warc GMI

News UK

UK — Confidence among global marketers has remained strong in June, despite an apparent growing divergence between the Americas and the rest of the world, according to Warc’s latest Global Marketing Index (GMI) figures.

The headline GMI figure, taking into account marketers’ expectations in three key areas: marketing budgets, staffing levels and trading conditions, dropped 1.3 points from last month to 56.7 (a reading of 50 indicates no change from the previous month; 60 indicates rapid growth). However, it was still up 0.8 points over the year.

For the fourth month running, optimism was highest in the Americas with a reading of 59.2; while readings in Europe and Asia Pacific declined by 1.5 and 1.8 points respectively in the last month.
