Marketing giant Stengel is on board at Marketshare
US-- Jim Stengel, ex-global marketing officer at Procter & Gamble (P&G) has been appointed to the board of advisors for marketing analytics firm Marketshare Partners.
Stengel will provide strategic counsel to the company's leadership team.
While at P&G, he oversaw an $8bn advertising budget and had organisational responsibility for nearly 7,000 people.
For his work at the consumer goods giant he won numerous industry awards including Advertising Age's number one ‘Power Player' in marketing in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007, and recognised as “Grand Marketer of the Year” by Brand Week Magazine.
Stengel said: “Effective marketing measurement has been the holy grail of the industry for a long time, and I think MarketShare Partners offers a solution that brings accountability and truth to all communications activities. I am pleased to join forces with them in the pursuit of helping companies of all sizes better understand their marketing spending and make it actionable.”

Last month rock star Bono's private equity firm, Elevation Partners, took a minority stake in Marketshare.
