Marketer survey offers New Year cheer for MR

Use of research will not decrease in 2009, say MENG members

US-- A survey of marketing executives offers some New Year cheer for researchers – 78% say their use of market research will either stay the same or increase in 2009.

Of the 643 members of the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) surveyed by Anderson Analytics, one tenth envisage much greater use of MR in the months ahead while a further 29% see at least some level of increase.

Thirty-nine percent expect there to be no change – but that can only be good news in the midst of a recession where company's marketing budgets are under pressure.

Just over half the MENG members surveyed say budgets are being cut. Click here to download the full report.
