Macy's signs research deal with Dunnhumby

Multi-year partnership will support retailer's localisation initiative

US-- Retailer Macy's has announced a multi-year partnership with consumer insight firm DunnhumbyUSA.

Under the agreement, Dunnhumby will analyse Macy's sales data, develop customer segmentation models and help apply the learnings to improve sales growth.

Macy's chairman and CEO Terry Lundgren said Dunnhumby's work will support the company's ‘My Macy's' localisation initiative. “Our intention is to leverage knowledge of customer segments to drive same-store sales, profitability, customer loyalty and, ultimately, shareholder value,” he said.
