WPP takes majority share of Qais Consulting, ups Chime stake

SINGAPORE— WPP-owned digital agency VML has taken a majority stake in Singapore-based digital marketing agency Qais Consulting.

Qais, which was founded in 2005 and has a presence in India, will be rebranded as VML Qais. For the year ending 31 December 2010 the company reported revenue of $4m and gross assets of $1.6m. It offers research and analytics among its marketing services.

Meanwhile, WPP has increased its stake in Chime – the owner of Facts International, Opinion Leader and Tree – to 17.17% from 16.74%.
