PR software firm Augure buys blog watcher iMente Global

FRANCE— PR software company Augure has acquired Spanish social media and online news monitoring firm iMente Global.

The two firms had worked together in the Spanish market for five years prior to the acquisition. Augere said that the purchase, as well as its organic growth plans, had been funded by a €5m investment from Serena, Ventech Capital, OTC Asset Management, Amundi Private Equity Funds and Quest Ventures.

Augure CEO Michael Jais (pictured left, with iMente CEO Quim Pagans) said: “I’m very excited about the strong synergies we are about to create. The integration of iMente’s technology in our products will really add deep intelligence for our clients at each step of the PR and reputation management workflow, from the stakeholders’ detection to the analysis of campaigns’ results.”
