UK— London Underground’s two joint insight bosses have left the organisation as the insight function is merged with Transport for London’s group customer research team.
Andrea Burton and Jane Wooley, who were joint heads of customer and stakeholder insight at London Underground, have taken voluntary severance and set themselves up as independent customer insight consultants.
Wooley’s firm is called Customer Insight Resources while Burton has launched Andrea Burton Associates.
Bob Crowther will lead the combined research function at TfL, which is made up of four teams covering rail and underground, surface transport, service performance measurement and organisation-wide research.
A TfL spokesperson said the merger of the research teams was part of a wider cost-cutting initiative across the organisation.
