Gelia snaps up media research specialist NorthEast Media

US— New York-based marketing communications agency Gelia has acquired media research, planning and buying firm NorthEast Media for an undisclosed amount.

NorthEast Media’s owner Gloria Boron-Pembleton will take the role of media director at Gelia as part of the deal. Before founding NorthEast Media – which boasts KFC, Taco Bell and the Talking Phone book among its clients – she was media director at marketing communications agency Travers/Collins/Partners.

Gelia president and CEO Jamey Phipps said: “NorthEast Media is a perfect fit for Gelia. Gloria is masterful at crafting targeted, successful media plans backed by research and proven effective through post-campaign measurement, and she is also skilled in providing strategic council to demanding, high-profile accounts.”
