Deutsche Börse acquires Chinese consumer survey

GERMANY— The data and analytics business of the German stock exchange, Deutsche Börse, has acquired the China Consumer Sentiment Survey from Intage Hyperlink, the Chinese subsidiary of Japanese researcher Intage.

The amount paid was not disclosed but Deutsche Börse said it was less than $1m.

The monthly survey of more than 1,000 Chinese households measures consumer sentiment and confidence on a range of issues including economic conditions, personal finances and whether people are in the market for major purchases.

It will be incorporated into the product line of Deutsche Börse subsidiary Market News International, alongside its existing China Business Sentiment Survey.

Intage will continue to collect data while Deutsche Börse will package and distribute the reports.
