Comptel Corporation to buy Xtract for analytics boost

FINLAND— Telecoms software firm Comptel Corporation is to acquire Finnish analytics firm Xtract in a deal worth €3.1m that will be completed by the end of February.

Comptel said that the deal is part of its strategy to build an integrated offering that allows service providers to manage customer experience and drive new revenues from their subscriber base.

Xtract has a client list of around 20 customers including telecom operators DNA and TeliaSonera in Finland, AVEA in Turkey and Megafon in Russia.

Comptel CEO and president Juhani Hintikka (pictured) said: “Xtract is globally a leading expert in advanced customer analytics. This acquisition completes Comptel’s ‘event-analysis-action’ vision, which will help tele-operators provide value to their customers and operations by driving real-time business decisions. Delivering on this vision is a key for our growth in our recently communicated strategy.”
