Cint strikes partnership with Japan’s Borders

Asia Pacific M&A

JAPAN— Research software and services supplier Cint has opened a new office in Japan and formed a strategic alliance with local research technology provider Borders.

The Japanese agency operates the Post survey and panel management tool, which like the Cint Panel Exchange allows panels to connect with one another.

Cint said that the two firms will operate as separate systems in the “immediate time frame”, but an interface is currently being developed that will link the Cint Panel Exchange and Post systems, which will offer Japanese MR buyers an “easier route” to reaching an international sample.

Richard Thornton (pictured), Cint’s global commercial director, said: “We feel like this is the right fit in terms of getting a foothold into the Japanese market and hope this will expedite growth for both companies.”
