Lightspeed Research picks new European CEO

David Day to head the agency's European operations

WPP-owned online research agency Lightspeed Research has named David Day as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Day is currently online audience research agency NetRatings' managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Reporting to global president and CEO Anne Hedde, Day will begin his London-based position on 5 June 2006.

Day said: “Lightspeed Research is well positioned to take advantage of the increasing acceptance of online market research methodologies, and I intend to work with our global business development and operations staff in continuing the delivery of quality online market research solutions.”

An ex-employee of the UK Government Statistical Service, Day also previously worked for AC Nielsen UK as director of operations.
