Kadence names UK managing director

Kieron Mathews promoted from head of research with plans for European growth

UK-- Business research agency Kadence has promoted Kieron Mathews to UK managing director from his previous post as head of research.

Kadence Group chairman Simon Everard said: “Kieron has played a key role in the company's development over the past five years and his new position is fully deserved. This is the perfect time to strengthen our UK management team and it will enable me as group chairman to focus on growing the business globally from our offices in the US, India and Asia Pacific.”

The new MD told Research that his main priority is the company's upcoming rebrand, which is due to take place in the second quarter. He will also work with Everard to identify locations for new offices in mainland Europe.

Mathews, who joined the firm in 2004, said a presence in mainland Europe was on the cards because “80% of our work is international and of that, 80% is from Europe”.

Kadence defied the economic downturn in its last set of results, reporting an 82% rise in UK revenue in the three months ending 30 September.

Mathews said the firm would continue to benefit in the tough economic climate as clients “move away from default research purchases and towards more customised insight projects”.
