In-Touch Survey Systems slashes 10% of workforce
CANADA-- Research data collection firm In-Touch Survey Systems has laid off six of its full-time staff, which equates to 10% of its total workforce, including president and COO Lynda Partner.
The firm said the cuts were the result of the “unprecedented economic environment and resultant impacts on revenues derived from the automotive industry”.
In-Touch said it expected its Q1 2009 revenues and financial performance to be similar to Q1 2008 but was taking “prudent actions to protect itself from the potential of lower revenues” in the remainder of the year.
CEO Michael Gaffney said: “We remain deeply committed to our customers and are staffed to meet their needs as we take the necessary actions to ensure that the company matches its expenses to its most probable revenues during these difficult times.”
He said Lynda Partner had been an “integral” part of the firm's management and wished her the best for the future.
A spokeswoman told Research the firm had “no current plans” to appoint a new president and COO.
