IFF wins contract for skills survey

Agency to lead biennial survey of skills and training in England

UK-- IFF Research has been commissioned by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) as the lead contractor for the English National Employers Skills Survey 2009.

The b2b survey, conducted every two years, involves 75,000 telephone interviews and is used to identify skill shortages in the labour market, skill gaps in the workforce and employer training activity.

The LSC is the public body charged with improving skills and competitiveness, and is jointly funded by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills and the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Findings from the study are expected to be released in 2010.
