Healthy 2008, positive outlook for NRC

Full-year revenue up 4% to $51m for healthcare performance measurement agency

US-- National Research Corporation (NRC) has posted full-year revenue up 4% to $51m, with net income up almost 9% to $7.4m.

The Nebraska-based agency provides survey-based performance measurement, analysis and tracking services to healthcare providers.

In November last year it announced a deal to acquire My InnerView, a specialist in customer satisfaction measurement for the senior care industry.

That deal was completed on 19 December, and NRC chief executive Michael Hays told shareholders yesterday work was already under way “to capitalise on the respective resources” of each company.

Commenting on the full-year results, Hays said NRC had seen “no material impact” on its business from the downturn in the economy.

“As we move into 2009, we do so with a book-to-contract value of over $60m – a number that suggests a 20% revenue growth in 2009. To this, I look forward to adding our historical net new sales number of $12m-plus,” he said, adding: “The foundation outlined above provides a great start to 2009.”
