Obama nominates pollster for USAID administration role

Feierstein is principal and vice president of international polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, where he has overseen opinion research in more than 30 countries.

Before joining Greenberg Quinlan Rosner he was director of USAID’s global elections office. He also had a spell at the State Department as special assistant to the US ambassador to the Organisation of American States.

• In other pollster-related news today, Bill Clinton is offering himself as a raffle prize in a bid to help wife Hillary, the US secretary of state, pay the polling bill she ran up in her failed attempt to win the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.

Her campaign still owes $771,000 to research and consulting firm Penn Schoen Berland. In an email to supporters, Bill explained that “Hillary’s campaign still has a few vestiges of debt that I know she she would like to see paid in full. Will you reach out today to help Hillary this one last time?”
