GfK retains Toyota mystery shopping contract

Agency wins competitive tender to hold on to carmaker's performance evaluation programme

UK-- GfK has been reappointed to run Toyota's mystery shopping programme in the UK, following a tender process against nine other agencies.

GfK Mystery Shopping has been working with Toyota in the UK since 2002, covering 60-80 outlets per quarter last year.

Alasdair Kerr, commercial director of the agency's mystery shopping division, said: “The customer's purchase experience can be the determining factor that clinches a sale – particularly in a turbulent economic climate when consumers need extra reassurance that their purchase is well placed.”
