GfK completes IFR Monitoring Group takeover

Firm ups stake in shelf monitoring company to 100%

GERMANY-- GfK has bought out the remaining shares in retail shelf monitoring firm IFR Monitoring Group.

The firm previously owned 76% of IFR but upped its stake to 100% for an undisclosed amount.

IFR Monitoring Group specialises in analysing prices and products in the consumer electronic, IT, domestic appliance and communication equipment sectors across Europe, China, Brazil and the US. It has 16 global subsidiary companies.

The company's product suite includes services for tracking prices, shelf life cycles and technical data for products and lists Canon, Electrolux, LG, Samsung and Sony among its clients.
