Generate hires trends consultant Gaudelli
US-- Trend consultant Janis Gaudelli has been hired by production company Generate to run its new research division, Generate Insight.
Generate, launched in 2006, aims to target the ‘millennial' demographic by producing content that can be used across different media platforms.
Gaudelli's work will make use of the 7,500-strong ‘Trendspotters' network that she inherited from Teen People magazine, where she worked before it folded. Gaudelli has continued to use the network in her work as an independent consultant for companies including Warner Bros, Reebok and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Generate CEO Jordan Levin said: “Generate was founded with a mission to understand the millennial audience and develop content that suits their unique worldview and consumption habits by being quickly adaptable and able to move across mediums. Bringing Janis in and creating the Generate Insight division is a big plus because it enables us to better achieve that mission – and help others share in our understanding – while simultaneously adding depth to our senior management team and broadening our capabilities.”
