Forrester ‘weathering' recession in Q1 results

Modest revenue and profit rises • Firm expects to feel impact of market softness later this year

US-- Forrester Research chairman and CEO George Colony said the company is “weathering the recession and managing our business accordingly” after the firm's Q1 results showed modest rises in revenue and profit today.

Colony said the firm had exceeded its revenue guidance for the period but warned: “We should expect that the current softness in the market today will result in a delayed impact on our revenue later in the year.”

Total revenues for the quarter were up to $56.4m from $55m in the same period last year and net income on a pro forma basis was $6.3m compared to $6.2m last year.

Looking ahead to Q2, the firm is predicting total revenues of $60m to $63m.
