Social media benchmarker gets $3m funding

US—Social media monitoring firm Unmetric has raised $3m in series A funding from Nexus Venture Partners, which it will use to continue developing its benchmarking platform.

Unmetric works with companies including Nestle and Citibank to benchmark their social media performance against rivals. Each brand is awarded a score based on a range of metrics related to Twitter and Facebook activities, including followers and fans gained and lost and how fast they respond to customer queries.

As well as building out the platform, Unmetric says it is also looking to expand its team in the US.
