Shoutlet social media platform brings in $6m more in funding

US— Social media management and analytics platform Shoutlet has raised $6m in financing, bringing total funding to date to $9.2m.

The Series B investment round was led by American Family Insurance – a client of the company – with participation from first-round backers Origin Ventures and Leo Capital Holdings.

Shoutlet says it will use the cash to support “ongoing double-digit growth and product development plans”. Clients include Perry Ellis, Rayovac, and True Religion Jeans who use the company’s platform to build, engage, and measure their social media communications.

CEO Jason Weaver said: “As we see more and more brands turning to social media as a channel to communicate with their customers, we are excited to be at the forefront, delivering the technology that makes it simple to engage with customers as well as ensuring those engagements are effective.”
