Q3 dip at Creston due to health budget cuts

Financials News UK

UK — Marketing communications group Creston has reported lower Q3 results with revenue up just 1% on the previous period citing client budget cuts and project delays in the UK health business.

It reported year-on-year growth of 3% for the year-to-date ( 4% on a constant currency basis) to 1 October 2014.

While in its statement Creston said the drop in its health business will result in lower than expected full year Group revenue growth, its communications and insight division “continued to perform well”.

In terms of new business success, it said it had won high profile brands such as Mclaren and Superfast Broadband, with post period wins including Vue, Barilla and La Roche-Posay. It has also expanded its work for existing clients such as Sony Mobile and Novartis.

It also said that the relaunch of Creston in November 2014 as Creston Unlimited and the Unlimited rebrand of Group companies, has been well received by clients, intermediaries and prospective partners.
