MR turnover up 16% in 2011, says Russian association

RUSSIA— Research turnover in Russia grew 16% in 2011, according to the latest estimates from the Russian Association for Market and Opinion Research (OIROM).

In US dollars turnover was in the region of $370m. Estimates in roubles peg growth at approximately 12%.

Reports of the OIROM numbers come from the blog of Dmitry Ponomarev of research firm Leancor.

2010 turnover (in dollars) was $320m, up 20%.
