The filling reveals that Zettics could raise an additional $3m in the coming weeks.

Zettics is headed by Sterling Wilson (pictured), who was launch CEO for Ground Truth in 2010 and led the company through its merger with Umber a year later.

At the time of the merger, the newly-combined business raised $8m from North Bridge Venture Partners, Steamboat Ventures, Voyager Capital, Emergence Capital and Opeanair Equity Partners. Backers for this most recent round of financing have not been revealed.

Zettics analyses mobile carrier data to help operators understand how data services are being consumed and then use this information to improve their business. Applications include identifying network abuse, and analysing pricing plans based on actual usage in order to enhance advertising offers, reduce churn, improve customer care, and enhance CRM.
