Localytics gets $5.5m financing for app platform

US— Mobile app analytics provider Localytics has announced the launch of a new app marketing platform after securing funding from Polaris Venture Partners.

The new software marketing platform is an expansion of Localytics’ mobile app analytics service, which already supports over 350 million devices.

CEO and co-founder of Localytics, Raj Aggarwal said: “Our app marketing platforms builds on app analytics to optimise communication with those app users when and where messages can have the greatest impact – while they’re using their apps.”

Peter Flint, general partner at Polaris Venture Partners, said of Localytics: “They’ve quickly established themselves as the leading enterprise software platform for apps and analytics and are now positioned to deliver the first marketing automation solution for apps.”
