US— Mobile measurement firm Ground Truth has raised $7m in financing with a view to expanding its operations both domestically and internationally.
The investment comes from the company’s existing backers Steamboat Ventures and Voyager Capital, as well as from new partners Emergence Capital and Openair Ventures.
Ground Truth raised $2.6m in its first funding round last June, according to regulatory filings. The company takes aggregate mobile user data from network operators and other sources to generate mobile web metrics such as unique visitor numbers, page views, sessions, session length and advertising clicks.
President and CEO Sterling Wilson (pictured) said the addition of new investors would provide “the infusion for Ground Truth to significantly expand its offerings to both clients and data partners around the world”.
The company went public three months ago, at which time Research spoke to marketing VP Evan Neufeld. Click here for the interview.
