Gartner posts double-digit Q1 revenue rise

US— IT researcher Gartner has posted a 12% increase in revenue and a 17% rise in net income for the first quarter.

Revenue was $369.2m and profits $34.2m. Revenue from research activities increased 13% to $274.6m, while consulting revenue was up 6% to $74.6m.

Research contract value was up 14% to $1.1bn while client and wallet retention rates were unchanged at 82% and 99% respectively.

Chief executive Gene Hall (pictured) said: “We continue to consistently deliver double-digit growth in revenue, contract value, normalised EBITDA and EPS, which puts us in an excellent position to deliver on our full year growth targets.”
