2009 was ‘pretty shocking', but still Truth posts growth of 32%

UK— Insight consultancy Truth is preparing to move Stateside this year following growth of 32% in 2009, taking turnover to just over £5m.

Interviews are underway with potential candidates to lead the agency’s planned venture in New York. In total, and including its UK office, Truth plans to add at least 10 new people to its staff roster this year, bringing total headcount to 40.

Reflecting on 2009, founder Andy Dexter said the firm delivered “a decent result in the face of a frankly pretty shocking recession”.

“The middle part of 2009 was where the worst of its seemed to be happening in our sector,” said Dexter. “Nevertheless, we expanded our staff and client base significantly last year, and we’re now seeing encouraging acceleration of growth into 2010.”

Dexter boasts that Truth has secured over £2m in new strategic assignments in the first three months of the year, and the firm is forecasting annual turnover in the region of £7m.
