Experian acquires The Future Foundation

Acquisition will enable international expansion

Experian, the international consumer profiling company, has acquired the Future Foundation Group, a London-based consumer think-tank and strategic research consultancy.

The Future Foundation will become part of Experian's business strategy division. It will continue operating as an independent company but will benefit from Experian's network of international offices. The acquisition will also facilitate the international rollout of nVision the Future Foundation's web-based consumer research service.

At present nVision has more than 6,000 charts of trend data, over 500 forecasts, market analyses and emerging consumer trends.

Bruno Ross, a spokesman from Experian told Research: “We have already collaborated on projects and the firm seems to be a good fit. The acquisition will enable the Future Foundation to get a foothold in other markets such as the Far East, and allow Experian to offer a broader service. All staff will be retained.”
