Ex-Reckitt man takes Coke insights post

Bhawani Singh Shekhawat joins soft drinks company as head of strategic planning and insights

UK-- The Coca-Cola Company has appointed Bhawani Singh Shekhawat as director of strategic planning and insights.

He joins the soft drinks company after more than a year and a half as global director of best practices at consumer goods firm Reckitt Benckiser.

Before that he spent 13 years with Nielsen, rising from managing director in Egypt to MD of the six countries that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council region – Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

Shekhawat's last role with Nielsen was as director and head of consumer and customised research in Europe. He held the position for two and a half years before moving clientside.
