eDigital restructures to focus on sectors

Derek Eccleston speaks to Research about the agency's new strategy

UK-- Online agency eDigital Research has restructured its operations, replacing broad-focused research teams with specialist units for particular sectors.

Head of research Derek Eccleston told Research: “We wanted to put our senior people closer to the accounts they work on so they can add more value to the work we do.”

The five new teams, which each contain four to five researchers, are: media and agencies; telecoms; finance and travel; retail; and forms and utilities.

Eccleston said: “We're growing rapidly, and putting this structure in place gives us scalability, as we can add people to these teams when needed.”

Such flexibility is important in the midst of an economic downturn, but Eccleston believes there are still opportunities for agencies to grow – providing they deliver on the promises they make to clients.

“Never more so than now has it been so vital to show a real return for every research pound spent,” he said.
