Dubit hires new head of research
Leeds, UK-based youth research, marketing and web design agency Dubit has appointed Laura Sirett as its new head of research.
Sirett will oversee and develop the research capabilities of the company. She previously worked for Pye Tait and Ecotec Research & Consulting.
Dubit's research clients include the BBC, Channel 4, Learning Skills Council, GMI, OTX and Research Now.
It runs an online youth panel in the UK called Informer, which has over 30,000 members.
The agency also operates a loyalty card scheme for 11 to 17-year-olds called DubitCard, through which participating retailers can target specific promotions and discounts at cardholders.
Dubit recently hired two list brokers – Tri-Direct Sales and Holistic Lists – to commercialise the DubitCard database to allow brand owners to market to and send offers to members of the scheme.
Robin Hilton, director for Dubit, told Research: “The DubitCard list is completely separate from the research database – they are essentially two separate companies.
“For the [market and social] research database, we recruit from as many different sources as possible.”
