Dexterity co-founder installed as CEO

Former boss Anantha Krishnan takes advisory role at outsourcing firm

INDIA-- Research and analytics outsourcing firm Dexterity has appointed Palanivel Kuppusamy as chairman and CEO.

Kuppusamy co-founded the company in 1999 and served as executive chairman and CEO until early 2008 when Anantha Krishnan was appointed to both roles. When Krishnan took charge of Dexterity, the firm moved towards marketing and customer informatics, which it classes as market research outsourcing, marketing and customer data management, analytics and delivering insight.

Krishnan will now operate as a strategic adviser to the company. Kuppusamy said: “Krish came onboard when Dexterity decided to move beyond technology and KPO into marketing and customer informatics… Although he is moving into an adviser role, the momentum we have set will enable the company to grow aggressively.”

Outgoing CEO Krishnan added: “We have developed an industry-leading strategy and process and I'm extremely confident that the team, under the leadership of Palanivel, will successfully operationalise it. While I collaborate with Dexterity as an adviser, I'm also looking forward to helping the industry build complementary capabilities to make India the destination of choice for the marketing and customer informatics business.”

Kuppusamy said that with the firm having tripled revenue in the past three years, it “is well poised to capture a significant share of the $32 billion marketing and customer informatics market”.
