COI names strategic marketing roster

Research agencies among 19 firms to support strategic consulting division

UK-- Several research agencies have been appointed to the Central Office of Information's (COI) new strategic marketing roster, which has been formed to support the work of its strategic consulting division.

The framework was created as a result of a “significant increase in demand for projects that involve engaging stakeholders and members of the public on a wide range of policy issues,” the COI said.

Nineteen companies made the final list, including research agencies Brook Lyndhurst, Dialogue by Design, Engage Group, Henley Centre Headlight Vision, Ipsos Mori and Synovate.

The framework has been divided into groups of up to nine companies that will work in specific areas, including external stakeholder engagement and consultation, project management, consultation analysis, interpretation of consultation outputs and more.

The COI, which is responsible for improving the effectiveness of government publicity programmes, said that it evaluated 130 companies and reviewed 500 CVs and 1,000 case studies before naming the final line-up.

Sean Larkins, deputy director of the COI's strategic consultancy division, said: “Most of the agencies selected have not worked with us before so we are looking forward to developing good partnerships with them to help us solve some of the UK's most complex communications challenges in the most cost effective way.”
