Cigarettes and alcohol for Ci Research

Agency scoops survey contract from Trading Standards North West

UK-- Ci Research will undertake the North West's biggest ever Youth Alcohol and Tobacco Use Survey after scooping a contract from Trading Standards North West.

The firm will record, analyse and collate 12,000 questionnaires from 14-17 year olds in the region and present the findings to 20 local authorities.

It is the third consecutive year that Ci Research has been awarded the contract, the results of which will be used to help build a strategy for dealing with the sale of cigarettes and alcohol to underage youngsters.

Local authorities will also be able to gauge the level of binge drinking by young people in the region when results are published at the end of May.

Trading Standards North West's Linda Smallthwaite said: “Ci Research has become an important partner for us over recent years, and we are delighted to reappoint them for this important, high profile survey.”
