Chime names CEO for research and engagement division

Tredwell joins Opinion Leader owner in quest for international growth

UK-- Advertising industry veteran Paul Tredwell has been appointed chief executive of the research and engagement division of PR group Chime.

Tredwell becomes CEO of the group's principle research business, Opinion Leader, as well as overseeing the wider division, which includes fieldwork agency Facts International, ethnographic specialist Naked Eye and luxury goods researcher Ledbury.

He will work alongside the division's joint chairs Viki Cooke and Deborah Mattinson – the founders of Opinion Leader – and together the trio aim to raise the division's profile, integrate its offer and grow the business internationally.

Tredwell joins the business after four years as a communications consultant. Prior to that, he had held management roles within ad agencies AMV, Euro RSCG, Leagas Delaney and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Cooke kicked off the search for a new CEO for Opinion Leader last summer following the departure of managing director Paul Flatters, who left to set up the trends forecasting agency Trajectory Partnership.

She said today: “We are delighted that Paul is joining us – he will be a tremendous asset in helping us to fulfil the potential of the division.”
