Cello names 2CV's Nolan as research board chair
UK-- Cello has created a new board to oversee its research businesses, with 2CV founder Vincent Nolan as chairman and Insight Research Group's joint managing director Jane Shirley as chief executive.
In the new role, Nolan is to provide “vision and leadership to ensure the collective profitability, wellbeing and growth” of the companies that make up the division, while Shirley will have a primary responsibility for developing centres of excellence and for extending the division's fieldwork capabilities.
Cello Group CEO Mark Scott said: “Vincent and Jane's appointment to the Cello Research board is a positive initiative which we expect to yield operating efficiencies, improve the group's competitive position and drive further synergies.”
The research board sits under Cello's Research and Consulting board, of which Richard Gilmore remains chairman.
Aside from 2CV and Insight, Cello's research agencies include Leapfrog, RS Consulting, MRUK and Digital People, among others.
Nolan and Shirley “will continue to play an active role in their respective agencies”, Cello said, while both will become managing partners of the broader Cello Group.
• In other news today, 2CV announced the launch of a centralised tracking division to deliver long-term monitoring of consumer attitudes and behaviours. The agency said a 10-strong team, reporting in to head of numbers Doug Edmonds, will deliver data on brand health, positioning, product experience and marketing communications effectiveness for clients including Playstation, a number of video games titles, and media brands and hardware manufacturers.
