Cello buys fieldwork agency FML in £800,000 deal
UK marketing services group Cello has added fieldwork agency Field Management Limited (FML) to its portfolio of market research agencies.
The group acquired FML for a total maximum consideration of £865,000 – £540,000 up front, with a further £325,000 to come based on the company's performance over the next three years.
In a statement, Cello said it would work closely with FML's managing director Penny Steele “to invest in new interviewing technologies to facilitate Computer Assisted Paper Interviewing (CAPI)”.
The acquisition is Cello's third in the market research sector since listing on the UK's Alternative Investment Market in November last year.
In August, it acquired b2b research agency RS Consulting, while in July it bought Leapfrog Research & Planning.
